✏️Jana Korbel Albright (born Marie Jana Korbelová; May 15, 1937) is an American politician and diplomat.
with her family, Albright immigrated to the United States in 1948 from Czechoslovakia. Her father, diplomat Josef
Korbel, settled the family in Denver, Colorado, and she became a U.S. citizen in 1957
⚫️ Albright graduated from Wellesley College in 1959 and earned a PhD from Columbia University in 1975, writing her
thesis on the Prague Spring.
⚫️ She worked as an aide to Senator Edmund Muskie before taking a position under Zbigniew Brzezinski on the
National Security Council.
⚫️ She served in that position until 1981, when President Jimmy Carter left office.
⚫️ She is the first female United States Secretary of State in U.S. history, having served from 1997 to 2001 under
President Bill Clinton.
The Umayyad Mosque, also known as the Great Mosque of Damascus ,located in the old city of Damascus, is one of the largest and oldest mosques in the world.
After the Muslim conquest of Damascus in 634, the mosque was built on the site of a Christian basilica dedicated to John the Baptist (Yahya), honored as a prophet by Christians and Muslims. A legend dating to the 6th century holds that the building contains the head of John the Baptist. The mosque is also believed by Muslims to be the place where Jesus (Isa) will return at the End of Days. The mausoleum containing the tomb of Saladin stands in a small garden adjoining the north wall of the mosque.
✏️ On September 6th of December 2019, Center for Peace-Osijek held a eeting of the Integration Group of Stakeholders Osijek.
🔷 Center for peace presented the following agenda:
1️⃣ Report on the activities carried out and the presentation of the forthcoming activities of the project “Integration of third-country nationals through urban partnerships – INTEGRA”
2️⃣ Deployment plan of persons granted international protection – Where are we today? What has changed in two years ?What has changed in relation to the City of Osijek?
3️⃣ Report of the “GO LOCAL conference: Supporting regions, cities and rural areas and migrants integration ”
🔷 Representatives of organizations and institutions of the local integration group – representatives of the City of Osijek, Breza association, Red Cross Osijek and Volunteer center Osijek werea part of the meeting.
🔵As a part of project #INTEGRA, today we are publishing a poem from Omar Khayyam (1048.-1131.).
🔵 Omar was born in Nishapur, Iran. He was a Persian mathematician, poet and astronomer.
🔵 He also wrote treatises on mechanics, geography, mineralogy, music, and Islamic theology.
🔵 Iran and Persian speaking countries, Khayyám has had an impact on literature and societies through the translation of his works and popularization by other scholars.

📝 On November 21st, within the project Integration of third country nationals through urban partnerships –#INTEGRA and project ˝Migration processes and cultural identity of EU˝ Centre for peace, nonviolence and human rights held a presentation to students of Academy for Arts and Culture Osijek.
📌Presentation showed students everything Centre for peace did during #INTEGRA campaign from begining of the project
📌Presentation contained information about the very essence about #INTEGRA project
🍪During the presentation, Centre for peace offered the students home made Barazek cookies which were a part of the campaign.
Today we compare the length of the coast od Syria and Croatia. Croatia’s Adriatic Sea mainland coast is 1,775 kilometres long, while it´s islands and islets encompass a further 4,058 kilometres of coastline.
Syria´s coastline is around 185 km long.
Sergey Mikhaylovich Brin ( born August 21, 1973) is an American computer scientist and Internet entrepreneur.
Together with Larry Page, he co-founded Google. Brin immigrated to the United States with his family from the Soviet Union at the age of 6. He earned his bachelor’s degree at the University of Maryland, College Park, following in his father’s and grandfather’s footsteps by studying mathematics, as well as computer science.
After graduation, he enrolled in Stanford University to acquire a PhD in computer science. There he met Page, with whom he built a web search engine. The program became popular at Stanford, and they suspended their PhD studies to start up Google in Susan Wojcicki’s garage in Menlo Park.
We were a part of the conference: “Youth for human rights”. Conference brought together more than 100 stakeholders from all over Europe.
On the conference we shared the outcomes of the Erasmus+ programme Key Action 3 ‘Youth for Human Rights’ project and practices of HRE in youth work in Europe.
