A partner meeting for the RELEASE project was held in Bratislava on April 24, 2024.

The project 𝑹𝒆𝒅𝒖𝒄𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑬𝒙𝒄𝒆𝒔𝒔𝒊𝒗𝒆 𝒖𝒔𝒂𝒈𝒆 𝒐𝒇 𝒑𝒓𝒆-𝒕𝒓𝒊𝒂𝑳𝒅𝑬𝒕𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒗𝒊𝒂 𝒉𝑨𝒓𝒎𝒐𝒏𝒊𝒔𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 & 𝑺𝒖𝒑𝒑𝒐𝒓𝒕 𝒕𝒐 𝒂𝒍𝒕𝑬𝒓𝒏𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒗𝒆𝒔 𝐑𝐄𝐋𝐄𝐀𝐒𝐄 aims to support the judiciary in EU member states, especially in Eastern Europe, to improve cooperation between competent authorities regarding pre-trial detention. Our efforts are focused on identifying best practices and working methods and facilitating the establishment of mutual trust between partners.

Through this project, we are working on creating a Manual with good practices and practical alternatives, adapted to different target groups such as lawyers, judges and prosecutors. We are also creating a Policy Brief to raise awareness among decision-makers about issues related to pretrial detention and the alternatives available.
